UrBC, Yekaterinburg, March 27, 2017. Sinara Group’s Sinara Development, the general contractor for the reconstruction of Yekaterinburg Arena Stadium in time for the World Cup 2018, is now finishing the facades of the building, the company press service reports.
The plan is to mount the special perforated panels onto the building’s ready metal structures supporting the stadium’s historic walls. The finishing jobs will touch upon the western and eastern sides of the building, while the northern and southern sides will be left open for the collapsible spectator stands.
The grey perforated panels are meant to protect the inside of the stadium from the wind and serve as a decorative element.
According to Sinara Development’s Director-General Timur Ufimtsev, the finishing jobs on the facade will have been completed by the fall.
