UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 21, 2016. West-Siberian Integrated Metallurgical Works (a member enterprise of EVRAZ Holding) supplied around 3,000,000 kg of rolled metal goods to the Far East’s largest shipyard Zvezda in Bolshoi Kamen, EVRAZ Holding Siberia’s press office reports.
The plant intends to have another 1,000,000 kg delivered by the end of 2016.
EVRAZ is currently the primary metal goods supplier for Maritime Territory’s shipbuilders. Zvezda relies heavily on the holding’s produce, particularly on its AIII fittings made of 26G2S steel. The fittings are used for making parts and frames of hull production workshops, coating chambers, docks, medium-range vessels, and marine facilities. EVRAZ fittings earned a great reputation for their guaranteed strength, plasticity, and welding capacity.
Zvezda specializes in submarine repairs for the Pacific Fleet and in retooling of missile-carrying nuclear submarines. The plant can manufacture and make ready to put out to sea vessels that are up to 13,500,000 kg big.
