EVRAZ ZSMK Supplies 3,000,000 kg of Fittings to Rostov Region

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 19, 2016. EVRAZ Holding’s West-Siberian Integrated Metallurgical Works (EVRAZ ZSMK) supplied over 3,000,000 kg of fittings for the construction of Yuzhny Airport in Rostov Region, EVRAZ Holding Siberia’s press office reports.
The plant intends to deliver another 1,000,000 kg of metal goods to the construction site before the end of the year. A500S and A500SP fittings, an improved modification on the thermally strengthened A500S steel, are used for the purpose. The fittings are meant for the construction of the main terminal, airport runway, control tower, and a rescue station.
The new airport will be able to service 5m people a year, with passenger traffic expected to gradually increase to 12m people a year. Yuzhny Airport will be suited to deal with all kinds of modern aircraft and is supposed to become part of the high-speed Moscow-Adler line in the future.
