UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 17, 2015. EVRAZ Consolidated West-Siberian Metallurgical Plant (EVRAZ ZSMK, a member of EVRAZ Holding) shipped over 6,000,000 kg of A500S reinforcing bars and rolled wire to Tajikistan; these were needed for the construction of Dushanbe 2 Power Station, EVRAZ PR Department reports.
The company is currently the primary reinforcing bar supplier for the project and expects to keep shipping its produce to Dushanbe until everything has been completed.
A500S bars enjoy good demand on the Russian and CIS member states’ market due to its improved plasticity and durability parameters. The bars also make it possible to cut steel spending considerably.
EVRAZ Holding used to supply its rolled metal goods for the construction of other major power sector facilities, such as Sayano-Shushenskaya, Boguchanskaya, and Ust-Ilimskaya water power plants and BREST-300, a fast-breeder plant in Seversk.
