UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 25, 2019. Two types of reinforcing bars made at EVRAZ Holding’s West-Siberian Integrated Metallurgical Plant (EVRAZ ZSMK) won awards at Russia’s 100 Best Goods Contest, the company’s PR Department reports.

Reinforcing bar V500S won in Russia’s 100 Best Goods and in Kuzbass’s Best Products & Services. The rebars are meant for reinforcing concrete-steel structures. The rebars’ outstanding mechanical properties and chemical composition make them suitable for welding, for making metal mesh, and for applying inside high-rise building structures.

Reinforcing bar As500S won in Russia’s 100 Best Goods and in Kuzbass’s Best Products & Services. This rebar is particularly resistant to cold temperatures, has improved plasticity characteristics, is very durable, and can be used for putting up structures in very cold climates.

During the solemn awarding ceremony at Kemerovo Region’s executive office, the small-section Mill 250-2 operator Mikhail Melanchenko received the Excellence Badge for his contribution to the mastering of the technology for making new rebars in compliance with international standards.

EVRAZ ZSMK has been taking part in Russia’s 100 Best Goods Contest since 1999 and has received 27 awards so far. The award grants the winner the right to put the contest logo on its produce.
