March 18, 2015. Governor of Chelyabinsk Region Boris Dubrovsky paid a visit to Karabashmed (a member enterprise of Russian Copper Company Group) in the course of his business trip to Karabash. The Governor could have a look at the construction site of the new sulfuric acid department, RCC press service reports.

The department’s head Andrei Chernenkov explained four startup complexes would be built for the facility all in all. The first one is ready to be launched, and startup and commissioning jobs will begin on the second one this month.

Besides, a tank washing station, a modular unitized transformer substation, and a modular 6-kilowatt switchboard have already been launched. The power park and the central control board will be launched in March, and startup and commissioning jobs will begin on the gas cleaning, absorption, and compression units.
