February 9, 2015. Russia’s Federal Tariff Service issued Order 311-t/1 dated January 29, 2015 on changes in and amendments to Price List 10-01 on Freight Forwarding & Infrastructure Services Offered by Russian Railways.

Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s press service reports that the document gives freight forwarders the right to a discounted empty run rate when its innovative gondola cars 12-196-01 and 12-196-02 are used.

‘These discounts mean companies using gondola cars 12-196-01 and 12-196-02 can reduce their internal costs and improve the efficiency of haulage operations. The Federal Tariff Service’s order comes into effect on February 13, 2015,’ the press service says.

Additionally, the Russian Government’s Decrees 41 (dated January 20, 2014 and November 19, 2014) offered federal budget subsidies to companies buying the innovative carriages.

Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s production program provides for a complete switch to innovative railway carriage production. In 2015, the enterprise will be working on all-purpose gondola cars as well as the innovative oil tank and the innovative hopper for transportation of chemical fertilizers.
