November 20, 2104. The team of Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant (PNTZ, a member enterprise of ChTPZ Group) was given the gold medal at the international exhibition Metal Expo 2014 for its project on Technology, Chemical Composition of Steel and Production of Corrosion-Resistant Oil Well Tubing and Casing for the Development of Wells at O&G Companies’ Deposits with Oil, Natural Gas, or Gas Condensate with Corrosive Contents, ChTPZ Group’s press service reports.

The competition was held by the exhibition coordinating committee in order to promote and popularize Russian production and scientific research teams that design and launch equipment and technologies which meet today’s technical requirements. About fifty Russian enterprises and scientific research institutes competed for the prize. Their works were assessed by representatives of the Industry & Trade Ministry, employees of leading scientific research institutes, and members of industrial unions.

PNTZ started working on oil well tubing and casing from steel with 1% to 5% chromium content (such as the 18HMFB, 18H3MFB, and 15H5MFB ones) in 2008 to get this year’s reward. At the moment, the plant can deliver corrosion-resistant pipes to customers in any amount and very quickly. Most orders come from NK Rosneft, Lukoil, Gazprom Neft, NGK Slavneft, and other oil companies. Besides, PNTZ tubes are used for the development of Rimera’s (ChTPZ Group division) White Well Deposit.
