ChTPZ Group to ship 1,000m kg of LDPs in 2014

September 17, 2014. ChTPZ Group is taking part in the 21st International Research-to-Practice Conference Pipes 2014 that is held at the Russian Scientific Research Pipe Industry Institute in Chelyabinsk on September 16-18, the Group’s press service reports.
On the first day of the conference, ChTPZ Group’s Managing Director Valentin Tazetdinov made a report on how the innovative potential of rolled stock manufacturers could be useful for the fuel and energy sector’s strategic projects.
‘Thanks to the current implementation of Russia’s major oil and gas projects and, therefore, thanks to increased demand, ChTPZ Group is planning to ship 1,000m kg of large-diameter pipes to customers in 2014. To make this many pipes, ChTPZ took a set of measures to enhance the productivity of its Vysota 239 Department by over 20%. For one, new welding modes were developed, equipment was upgraded, and technologies were improved. Our so-called white metallurgists keep working on increasing the department’s production capacity,’ Tazetdinov said.
This year, the conference’s main theme was focused around innovations. For three days, over 20 ChTPZ Group’s experts will be presenting their developments. The conference also provides for reports by representatives of all the leading pipe-making and metallurgical enterprises of Russia and Europe. More than 230 delegates, experts from pipe-buying companies such as Gazprom, Rosneft, Lukoil, Tatneft, Transneft and scientific research institutes such as RosNITI, UralGIPROMEZ, Gazprom VNIIGAZ, VNIITneft, and others gathered together to discuss the most vital aspects of the pipe manufacturing industry. On September 17, delegates will have a guided tour of Vysota 239 at Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant (ChTPZ).
