Uralvagonzavod Corporation fulfils Defense Ministry’s order ahead of schedule

October 13, 2014. Uralvagonzavod Corporation delivered its final batch of fifteen 152-mm self-propelled howitzers 2S19M2 (Msta-S) to the Russian Federation Defense Ministry, Interfax Military News Agency refers to Alexei Nosov, the Director-General of Uraltransmash (a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation) as saying.
‘This batch closes up on our three-year contract for the delivery of 108 self-propelled howitzers. The delivery was completed ahead of schedule,’ Nosov said.
According to Alexei Nosov, the Defense Ministry has already received 93 self-propelled howitzers that are ‘directed to the military units in accordance with the Ministry’s sub-allocation.
In his turn, acting head of the MoD’s Military Representation 5584 Major Igor Zolotukhin apprised Russia’s Defense Minister, General Sergei Shoigu of the fact that ‘the fifteen units delivered in accordance with the government contract for the consignment of 152-mm self-propelled howitzers 2S19M2 have underwent the acceptance tests successfully and are now ready to be shipped to operating entities’.
Zolotukhin says ‘this year’s obligations will be met by the enterprise within the terms set forth in the government contract’.
