Omsktransmash sets up Chair for Hydro-Mechanics & Transport Machines

October 10, 2104. Omsktransmash (a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation) coordinated a solemn opening ceremony of Omsk State Technical University’s Chair for Hydro-Mechanics & Transport Machines on its premises, the corporation’s press service reports.
‘Omsk Transport Machine-Building Plant (Omsktransmash) and Omsk State Technical University have been engaged in mutually beneficial cooperation for many years now. The university opened a special department to educate machine-building experts for Omsk Region’s largest defense enterprise. There are currently several dozen students studying in Omsk Polytechnic on special-purpose programs who will be guaranteed employment at Omsktransmash.
The introduction of a new chair is another significant step on the way to strengthening the two parties’ cooperation in the field of training highly qualified young workers who will be able to implement all of their scientific, technical, and creative talents and expertise at Omsktransmash following their graduation,’ the press service says.
The decision to set up the chair on the plant’s premises was made in December 2013. The project took under ten months to become a reality. The Chair for Hydro-Mechanics & Transport Machines is fully prepared for the training process, with all the equipment financed through the enterprise’s own funds.
