July 7, 2014. Omsk-based Transport Machine-Building Design Office (KBTM, a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation) and one of Siberia’s leading universities Omsk State Technical University signed an agreement on setting up the university’s Chair for Fluid Mechanics & Transport Machines on the premises of KBTM, Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s press service reports.
The idea behind setting up a university chair there is to educate specialists with enhanced practical skills and with the ability to handle technical documentation. Training will be given along two fields – Power Engineering and Special-Purpose Vehicles.
As for KBTM, this new chair will help the company train and employ highly skilled experts in the field of special-purpose transport machines and in the field of power engineering (with a specialization in automated hydraulic and pneumatic mechanisms).
The chair will admit its first students on September 1, so now KBTM HR Department (which is to provide the study rooms and lecture halls) is busy getting ready for the new school year. Rooms are being redecorated, new windows are being installed, furniture and equipment are being purchased.
