September 22, 2014. The employees of Omsktransmash (a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation) took part in a round table discussion dedicated to young graduates finding a job, the corporation’s press service reports.

According to Omsk Region Employment Service, major industrial enterprises have keenly felt an employee shortage, with over 80% of unfilled positions pertaining to blue-collar jobs.

‘Omsktransmash is suffering from a particularly acute lack of cadre, since there are not enough young skilled workers to fulfill the increased government defense contract. The HR Department has been giving job counseling to school students for a few years already, as well as contributing to custom-training of students in colleges across Siberia and the Urals and working in close cooperation with Omsk employment agencies. A special bonus fund was set up to increase young workers’ motivation,’ the press service says.
