ChTPZ Group to ship pipes to Lukoil

4 September 2014 (12:50)

September 4, 2014. Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant (a member enterprise of ChTPZ Group) is about to complete the shipment of large-diameter pipes for the terrestrial part of Lukoil’s Vladimir Filanovsky oil and natural gas deposit located in the Caspian Sea. Under the contract, the shipment comes to more than 65,000,000 kg of LDPs, the Group reports.

These 559mm and 711mm pipes with wall width of 11.1mm to 25.4mm have a three-layer corrosion-resistant outer coating and are made from X52 and X65 steels at the plant’s Vysota 239 Department. The customer required that all the pipes should be made under the supervisory control of TechnoExpertService.

ChTPZ Group’s advantage that helped it win while competing for Lukoil’s order was the fact that the company’s pipes had already been used for the offshore section of Vladimir Filanovsky deposit before: in 2012, Chelyabinsk pipe manufacturers delivered over 26,000,000 kg of 559mm pipes (wall width 15.9mm) for the project.

ChTPZ Group’s taking part in such high-profile projects builds up on the company’s reputation as a reliable supplier of good quality pipe products that uses hi tech production facilities.
