July 14, 2014. Director-General of ChTPZ Engineering Dmitri Podoryashchiy took part in the meeting of Coordination Council for Industry and Engineering & Industrial Design Council under the Russian Federation Industry & Trade Ministry, while ChTPZ Organizational Development Director Tatiana Kozhevnikova joined a round table discussion on professional training as exemplified by German companies' experience, ChTPZ Group's press service says.
In his speech at the meeting, ChTPZ Engineering DG pointed to the barriers that halt the development of engineering in Russia and proposed some ways to overcome those barriers.
'The factors that prevent us from achieving the goals set forth in the government-run program on the development of engineering and industrial design are the difficulty of dealing with customers, uneven distribution of engineering companies' workloads, lack of long-term planning, and, consequently, no possibility of creating and keeping a team of professionals. What could simplify and speed up our interaction with customers is this: creation of special information portals and communication venues. The Russian customer needs to have it brought home to them that it saves more money and is more convenient to employ external engineering companies than to expand their own staff,' Podoryashchiy said.
