ChTPZ Group Students Compete in WorldSkills Russia

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, February 20, 2018. Students on ChTPZ Group’s Future of White Metallurgy Corporate Training Program joined the 6th WorldSkills Russia Championship, held in Sverdlovsk Oblast on February 17-21, 2018, the Group’s press service reports.

Nineteen students are competing in twelve different categories, including Mechatronics, Industrial Robotics, Prototyping, Welding, NC Turning, and Reverse Engineering.

‘ChTPZ Group’s teams compete in this blue-collar job championships every year. Our contestants are competing in Reverse Engineering for the very first time this year. Reverse engineering is a must-have competence in many industrial sectors these days, since it makes it possible to produce copies of a needed spare part using a ready sample, and very quickly at that,’ says ChTPZ Group’s Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant’s Managing Director Alexei Dronov.

The 6th WorldSkills Russia Championship’s Sverdlovsk Oblast round will be coordinated at seventeen different sites provided by vocational schools and organizations, including ChTPZ Group’s Training Center. Over a thousand contestants are applying; they are to compete in 92 different categories all in all.
