Uraltransmash to get state subsidies for hi tech production projects

July 4, 2014. Uraltransmash (a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation) won a tender for the right to receive state subsidies allocated for the development of hi tech production projects, the corporation’s press service reports.

The tender was coordinated by the Russian Federation Government in accordance with Provision 218 dated April 9, 2010 On State Supporting the Development of Cooperation between Russian Higher Educational Establishments and Organizations Dealing in High Technology Production Projects. 149 organizations and enterprises took part in the fifth stage of the tender, and 19 contestants became winners.

Uraltransmash and South Ural State University (with some participation of Russia’s Education & Science Ministry) presented a multi-faceted project on the creation of a hi tech production facility meant for making a range of innovative, energy-saving, module-type tramways for the development of urban passenger transport systems. The main idea behind the project is to develop a series of low-floor trams with improved technical and maintenance parameters which will ensure enhanced energy efficiency, great profitability, and improved consumer properties.
