April 10, 2014. Uralvagonzavod Corporation embarked upon a new, large-scale project on the construction of an up-to-date clinic in Dzerzhinsky District of Nizhniy Tagil that will have all the best facilities. The clinic will offer medical services not only to employees of the corporation's head plant but also to their family members, the corporation's press service says.

The clinic is meant for out-patient and diagnostics servicing of 850 people per shift and for 150 medical checkups a day (these are the norms set out by the current Russian legislation).

According to the future Dean and current head of Uralvagonzavod's medical unit Denis Klimov, the new clinic will offer a full range of medical services to patients: diagnostics, treatment, rehabilitation, and supervision of treatment. The patients' medical records and bills will be handled electronically. The clinic will employ the most advanced methods of diagnostics and treatment: a tomography unit, mammography machine with the biopsy function, several X ray units, and a lab station are already being purchased, as is much else besides. Most of the equipment is delivered by Siemens. The most complicated task is the one of finding staff, and it is being handled as well.

'We are looking into different ways of attracting personnel, perhaps we will provide accommodation,' Klimov explains.
