December 12, 2104. Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s personnel healthcare policy won the first prize in the Corporate Practices Contest during the international forum People Investor 2014.
The corporation’s press service explains the prize-winning project has to do with the organization of a multi-purpose clinic and health unit in Nizhniy Tagil. The corporation’s Deputy DG for Human Resources Svetlana Ivanilova said at the awarding ceremony that ‘investing in personnel healthcare is a key feature of a socially responsible business today’.
The clinic is expected to be one of the solutions to providing enough staff for the corporation’s head plant in Nizhniy Tagil.
‘Projects of this kind help an employer become more competitive on the labor market and raise the employees’ working age through offering them good quality, affordable medical services. The project is meant to reduce loss of working hours caused by illnesses, to bring down sickness rate, and to increase labor productivity. The corporation is confident that the opening of the clinic will result in fewer cardiovascular diseases, fewer cases of cancer, and less occupational ill health. The construction began in 2013 and is expected to finish in 2015. The project will cost 2,159,989,000 RUR,’ the press service says.
