UrBC, Yekaterinburg, October 17, 2019. A polyclinic for adult patients is now being designed for Yekaterinburg’s District Akademicheskiy, RSG-Akademicheskoye’s press service reports.
The clinic will be located in Blizky (Vavilov St-Timofeyev St-Resovsky St-Akademik Landau St) and will be big enough to cater to 1,200 (out)patients within every two shifts.
There will be an internal medicine department, a surgery department/block, an ER/X-ray diagnostics department, a first-aid station, a day-patient department, an ob/gyn department, a contagious disease treatment unit, a diagnostics lab, a chest photoroentgenography room, a mammogram room, an X-ray diagnostics room, a CT room, and so on.
The clinic will also provide some studying space for medical students and offices for Ural State Medical Academy and Medical School’s teaching staff.
Complying with the latest construction regulations will mean limited mobility patients will find it convenient to access and use the facility.
‘The clinic will be fitted with all the up-to-date diagnostics and medical appliances, which will improve the quality and accessibility of outpatient healthcare for the grownups living in District Akademicheskiy; the clinic is also meant to ensure full patient rehabilitation,’ the company says.
There are already a children’s polyclinic and an ambulance/ER service in the area.
The new clinic is part of the preparations for Yekaterinburg’s 300th anniversary and is a public-private partnership project. The developer RSG-Akademicheskoye intends to have the clinic designed and constructed with Sverdlovsk Region’s budget funds.
