December 9, 2013. Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation is now taking part in the 7th International Exhibition/Forum Russian Transport that is coordinated within the framework of Transport Week 2013.

According to the corporation’s press service, Head of the President Administration Sergey Ivanov and Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov were shown the project of a new train for Moscow Underground that was designed in cooperation with Bombardier Transportation

‘The stand features a virtual reality decision-making unit, so visitors to the forum could enjoy the full 3D format to check out the appearance of the carriage and its construction and technological peculiarities. Some specific features of the carriages like transforming seats that can be folded during rush hours were also demonstrated. The system allows both the manufacturer and the customer to take a tour of the carriage online and assess the passengers’ comfort and the conditions for people with disabilities from the inside. This means that changes can be made to the design right away based on the customer city’s demands,’ the corporation’s press service reports.

On the first day of Russian Transport, a plenary discussion on the investment policy took place, with Director-General of Uralvagonzavod Oleg Sienko taking part and making a report. In his report, he specifically pointed out that infrastructure investments were the basis for the development of transport machine-building.
