The heads of the two states took a great interest in the full-size driver’s pit of the Flexity Outlook tram and the model of a new-generation train for the Moscow Underground, designed by Uralvagonzavod and Bombardier. Vladimir Putin is already aware of the companies’ plans to engage in joint production of public transport vehicles, so he chose to serve as his German counterpart’s guide on this tour himself.

Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s Director-General Oleg Sienko took a very noticeable part in Hannover Messe’s busy program. He was one of the speakers at the Russian-German Business Summit dedicated to the ways the two countries could cooperate in the field of high technologies. Uralvagonzavod actually liaises with a number of German industrial enterprises and banks. For one, Uralvagonzavod and Bombardier’s joint project on creating new trams for Moscow was discussed. The two partners won the tender and will now supply 120 modern and comfortable public transport vehicles to the Russian capital.
