Sverdlovsk Region court officers got debtors to pay some 40bn RUR

November 5, 2013. Over the nine months of 2013, some 1,300 enforcement proceedings cases were handled by Sverdlovsk Region division of Court Officers Service, the division’s press service reports.

About 40bn RUR were collected as a result, 1.5bn RUR were paid to federal and local budgets, including 205m RUR worth of enforcement fees, over 1bn RUR worth of tax payments, and more than 170m RUR worth of various kinds of fines.

All in all, officers of Sverdlovsk Region division of the Service prevented more than 30,000 debtors from traveling abroad; their total debt amounts to 15bn RUR. As a result, about 300m RUR were paid to the plaintiffs.

10,000 debtors who were not allowed to leave the country actually owe money in terms of their children’s allowance. The court officers seized 2m RUR worth of these debtors’ assets, and this resulted in the debtors paying over 3m RUR to their children.
