Uralvagonzavod supports World of Tanks championship in Nizhniy Tagil

October 1, 2013. The results of Ural Federal District multi-player World of Tanks championship called Ural Steel 2013 were announced recently. The championship was held in Nizhniy Tagil for the first time this year and coincided with the 9th International Arms, Military Vehicles & Ammunition Exhibition Russia Arms Expo 2013, says the press officer of Uralvagonzavod, the general coordinator of the event.
This is the third time Uralvagonzavod has supported a championship dedicated to one of the most popular computer games that unites virtual tankers from all over the world. Now Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation is the world’s leading manufacturer of armored vehicles. During the three days of the championship, over 250 professional and amateur players from Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen, Berezniki, and other places in Ural Federal District took part in the virtual battles.
‘A series of show matches by the four best professional teams from the WorldTanks.netLeague was played on September 26-27. The well-known and award-winning Virtus.pro (the 2nd season winner of Wargaming.netLeague Europe), Na’Vi (the 1st season winner of WorldTanks.netLeague in Russia and the CIS), PR-Unity (the Ukrainian winner of Ural Steel 2012), and TeamDignitas (the 1st season winner of Wargaming.netLeague Europe) demonstrated their great professionalism and competed for the $24,000 prize fund. The supporters grew breathless with excitement as they watched this fascinating many-hour show and cheered the players with applause,’ the press release says.
