May 22, 2013. The production of A600C heat-treated fittings that meet the STO ASChM 7-93 requirements was launched at Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) recently.

The new kind of produce was mastered in accordance with MMK’s program on the design and mastering of new fittings production technologies.

‘Thanks to the up-to-date heat treatment line that is installed on our very new section mill Danieli, we can now produce goods with the entire range of the necessary mechanical properties that meet А600С standards, as the rolled stock made from the (very popular in Russia) А500С grades of steel receives special thermal treatment. This brought down the prime cost of the А600С fittings significantly in comparison with the production of similar fittings from alloyed steels,’ the enterprise reports.
