STZ Builds Job Training Center

April 24, 2013. A construction of the Job Training Center for 244 students is now taking place at Seversky Pipe Plant/STZ (a member of Pipe Metallurgical Company). This project falls within the framework of a trilateral agreement between Sverdlovsk Region Education Ministry, STZ, and V.I. Nazarov Polevskoy Vocational School, the press office of Pipe Metallurgical Company reports.
The assembly of the metal structures is now 90% complete. The contractor, StroyMontazh, is now working on assembling the floor slabs; the case is expected to be completed by Metallurgist’s Day in mid-July.
The construction of a modern Job Training Center is part of the cooperation program between the regional Education Ministry and Pipe Metallurgical Company member enterprises that are based in Sverdlovsk Region. This is actually in line with the national program on education development in 2011-2015. The program aims to bring the content and the structure of secondary and primary vocational education in compliance with the labor market’s needs.
V.I. Nazarov Polevskoy Vocational School (former Vocational School 47) is the plant’s core educational establishment. Throughout all the years it has been operating, the enterprise offers internships to the students and helps the school improve its facilities. For one, the classrooms were given an overhaul and the equipment was upgraded recently. In March, for example, the electric lab and the special technologies room were fitted with modern electronic study stands, simulators, and practice mills.
