UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 15, 2015. ChTPZ Group Training Center and Pervouralsk Metallurgical School are now accepting applications to join their corporate training program called the Future of White Metallurgy, the Group’s press service reports.
Young people from anywhere in Russia who have completed their nine-year secondary education program are all eligible to apply. This year, 150 fellowships will be offered by the government to cover tuition fees of those training to do metal forming, operate electrical and electromechanical equipment, assemble and operate industrial equipment, work as crane operators, and perform tasks in the pipe and tube-making sector. This is a dual education program, with 60% of the time spent practicing at the plant’s production departments.
‘Students on our Future of White Metallurgy program are getting thorough vocational education, with many of the courses shaped along WorldSkills standards. Our students take part in and win prizes in WorldSkills competitions every year,’ says ChTPZ Group Director-General Alexander Grubman.
The Group has been enrolling students on the program for four years now: over 700 future experts are now studying for their certificates. Four years of training result in at least three blue-collar qualifications per student.
