Yekaterinburg Electrical Network Company Experts Join All-Russian Conference on Electric Vehicles Charging Infrastructure

December 4, 2012. The representatives of Yekaterinburg Electrical Network Company took part in the All-Russian conference on the implementation prospects for the electric vehicles charging infrastructure in the Russian Federation that was coordinated at the initiative of Federal Grid Company (FSK UES).

The conference participants talked about the electric vehicles market and charging infrastructure potential. This trend in the Russian energy and electricity sector is currently one of the most important ones; it is expected to promote the creation of Smart Grid intellectual networks and to facilitate the modernization of Russian cities. Yekaterinburg Electrical Network Company representatives presented the results of using the Urals’ first electromobile for seven months and spoke about the prospects of developing the charging infrastructure in Yekaterinburg. The first charging stations fitted with an electronic accounting and payment systems are expected to be launched soon. The company experts will keep on analyzing the characteristics of the electric car and evaluating its efficiency in the trial run period.

The representatives of the Soviet of the Federation and the State Duma Committees as well as those of the Russian Energy Ministry, Transport Ministry, Industry & Trade Ministry, Moscow Government and regional governments officials, heads of local energy enterprises, the media, electric vehicles and charging stations manufacturers, and the energy industry experts were invited to join the conference.
