Power Consumption in Yekaterinburg Electrical Network Company’s Network Rises 3.9%

Yekaterinburg Electrical Network Company came up with a performance report for the first half of 2012. The power consumption within the company’s network came to 2961.99m kilowatt-hours in January-June, which was 6.8% more than in 2010 and 3.9% more than in 2011. On average, it took 1.2 hours to fix a technological problem, the company’s press service reports.

The company implemented all the projects in preparations for the river floods and the storm season and all the preventive jobs for the repairs of relay protection and automatic equipment.

In the first half of 2012, Yekaterinburg Electrical Network Company also launched its innovations program. In April, the company bought the Urals’ first electromobile to be tested within the Smart Grid system and obtained a certificate of compliance with the international standards for capital construction management.

Before the end of the year, the company plans to get ready for the fall-winter season, complete the checks of cable lines and equipment, repair the basic power equipment, maintain its relay protection and automatic equipment and the automatic dispatcher control system, re-build its Dalnyaya substation, launch the new electromobile charging stations, and work on R&D.
