December 3, 2012. In the nine months of 2012, 41.7bn RUR worth of taxes was directed to the federal budget by Sverdlovsk Region tax authorities; this is 1.4 times or 12.8bn RUR more than a year earlier, Sverdlovsk Region division of the Federal Tax Service reports.

Sverdlovsk Region division of the Federal Tax Service held a collegial meeting dedicated to their performance in the nine months of 2012 and to the tasks that have to be completed by the end of the year. It was announced that the local tax authorities’ efforts were aimed at ensuring control over compliance with the tax legislation and at increasing the amount of tax revenues.

It was also decided to improve the efficiency of tax administration and of the quality of forecasts for budget revenues; to make the surveillance procedures and the efforts to reduce the amount of debt more efficient; and to keep on working on making the constitutional obligation of tax-paying more convenient for the taxpayers.
