Number of Sverdlovsk Region State-Run Establishments to Go Down 30%

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 2, 2012. Sverdlovsk Region budget revenues rose by 7.8bn RUR due to non-payable receipts in the first half of 2012, the regional Finance Ministry’s press service reports.
The regional budget revenues came to 77.3bn RUR, which is 7.8bn RUR more than in the first half of 2011.
These data were reported during Sverdlovsk Region Finance Ministry’s meeting on August 1. The meeting was dedicated to getting budget revenues in the first half of 2012, ways of enhancing the efficiency of using these revenues, and the goals the Russian Federation Finance Ministry set for the local financial bodies.
It was reported that the tax debts to the regional budget dropped by 123.1m RUR in the first half of 2012 and came to 5.6bn RUR on July 1, 2012. Due to the interdepartmental bodies’ efforts, the region’s consolidated budget received an additional 3.1bn RUR. However, the financial experts observe that the interdepartmental communication among the territorial divisions of federal executive bodies must become more efficient in order for the goals set by Sverdlovsk Region Governor to be met.
The region’s Finance Minister Galina Kulachenko said the Russian Finance Ministry wanted the number of state-run establishments to drop by 30%, which would reduce the amount of inefficient spending in the state sector through the use of new organizational forms.
