Ural Treasures Bank becomes Rus-Bank-Ural
13 August 2008 (09:47)
Ural Treasures Bank reports the company’s new name is Rus-Bank-Ural from now on. The announcement to this extent was made via the Bank of Russia’s official website under the rubric called Information on Crediting Organizations on August 5, 2008.
Rus-Bank acquired 98.42% of Ural Treasures Bank’s shares at the end of 2007, thus making the latter a part of a large banking group. On May 19, 2008, Ural Treasures Bank’s EGM resulted in the decision to change the company’s name to Rus-Bank-Ural, whereupon the preparation for a re-branding campaign began.
The bank started to gradually introduce Rus-Bank’s corporate colors and style in their ads and internal and external identity objects. Eventually, all the visual elements of the bank’s image will be brought in compliance with Rus-Bank’s corporate style; in addition, the bank’s range of products and the sales methodology (including the creation of a Partner Club consisting of trade enterprises and tertiary industry representatives) will be modeled on those of Rus-Bank.
‘The last stage of acquiring a new name consists in changing the company information in the Bank of Russia’s system. Up to this moment, all of the bank’s details, including the name put in the documents, must remain the same. Luckily, there is no need for our customers to sign any new agreements or get any new documents. We’ll report the date when the bank’s new name is to be applied later on,’ the bank’s press officer says.
‘The bank’s partnership with Rus-Bank made us stronger on the local market and gave us an opportunity to expand our resource base and launch some hi-tech banking products. Our customers can now use the bank’s services virtually anywhere in Russia, as Rus-Bank runs subsidiaries and offices all over the country: there are 35 subsidiaries and 166 offices in 35 Russian regions,’ says the bank’s acting CEO Alexander Vasilyev.
