Ural Turbine Plant takes part in Russia Power

Ural Turbine Plant presented a first-ever film about the company and a number of new products at Russia Power exhibition. The film acquaints the viewers with all the main production shops, the company’s engineering center, and the steam turbines that are currently employed at Novo-Sverdlovskaya power station, the companys press officer informed UrBC.



According to the plant’s press officer, the company also exhibited the new makes of steam turbines for combined-cycle plants. One such turbine is meant for combined-cycle plant 410 located at the power station in Krasnodar; it will be connected to a gas turbine supplied by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.



This was the sixth time Russia Power has been held in Moscow; this exhibition has been one the most important show opportunities for both Russian and foreign power equipment producers for a while now. The event attracts the leading market players, experts, and monitoring authorities, giving them a splendid opportunity to discuss the acute issues on the industry’s agenda.


Russia’s electric power industry has undergone a number of serious changes over the last year, with large-scale investments directed to the field due to a recent reform. All in all, the investment project for 2008-2011 provides for the construction of 35,000 megawatts worth of brand new facilities.
