Investors of BusinessMANCenter don’t get response to their query
5 February 2007 (11:56)
Yekaterinburg-based building known as BusinessMANCenter has still remained the apple of discord for investors and builders. Some companies, who invested in the would-be offices but did not get them in due time, have recently managed to meet the management of the Center in order to discuss the reasons for delay. Prior to the meeting, a letter has been sent by the investors to Nikolai Savin, CEO of MAN, the developer. In it, they posed a number of questions related to the construction permit, papers testifying the builder’s right to the land, and documents regarding electricity supply and telephone connection. In addition, the investing companies asked Mr Savin to produce the commissioning schedule.
According to the representatives of these companies, they never received satisfactory answers to their query. One thing left unanswered was the existence of the construction permit. As for commissioning deadline, the management of BusinessMANCenter said the building would be ready in April 2007.
The State Architectural Surveillance Inspectorate under the Council of Yekaterinburg reports BusinessManCenter cannot get a permit since the original project never underwent the expert examination. This would-be office center is a case of unauthorized construction; the only permission it did receive was the permission to engage in building and assembly jobs. This is why the commissioning of the building was delayed by a year.
