Chelyabinsk Region electricity supplier gets 100-kilowatt portable diesel generator

7 September 2006 (11:56)

ChelyabEnergo JSC, the regional energy and electricity supplier, acquired the new 100-kilowatt portable diesel generator for its subsidiary Chelyabinsk Electrical Networks.

According to the spokesperson for ChelyabEnergo, the generator is meant for self-contained electricity supply to the consumers based on special agreements or in case of power cuts, including the ones caused by very low temperatures outside. The capacity of the generator allows for a few hours of backup power supply to such places as hospitals, kindergartens and the like, and blocks of flats. The company has already set up a special mobile team that can deliver the diesel generator to any spot in the city in order to minimize the damage caused by a power cut.
