14.6bn RUR to be invested in restoration of Verkhnetagilskaya power plant

Verkhnetagilskaya power plant located in Sverdlovsk Region is currently under reconstruction. The main challenge facing the workers lies in not being able to put the power generating units out of operation even for a while, as it will be keenly felt by the electricity consumers.
The technicalities connected with putting up the new power-generating unit will be discussed at a special meeting, to be attended by the representatives of regional power generating companies and of the All-Russian Institute of Heating Technologies. The new unit might be intoruduced some time after the year 2010; the estimated cost of the project is 14.6bn RUR.
