MMK Group Retools Equipment at Ogneupor

UrBC, Magnitogorsk, January 21, 2020. MMK Group completed three gas-filtering equipment retooling projects at its member enterprise LLC Ogneupor, MMK’s Information & PR Department reports.
The projects are part of a cooperation agreement Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) signed with Russia’s Ministry for Natural Resources & the Environment, the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Natural Resource Use, and Chelyabinsk Region Government in July 2019.
‘The gas-filtering facilities that are part of the technological line for Class B chamotte stuffs at Chamotte Ware Department’s clay-baking and chamotte grinding section have been upgraded. A new sock filter (efficiency rate: 99.6%) was installed in place, which will reduce our emissions by 33,000 kg a year,’ the company says.
