ChelPipe Group, Nature Ministry Sign Cooperation Agreement

UrBC, Chelyabinsk, June 10, 2019. ChelPipe Group’s Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant (ChelPipe), Russia’s Natural Resources & the Environment Ministry, the Federal Supervisory Natural Resources Management Service, and Chelyabinsk Region Government signed an agreement on an action plan to reduce air emissions during Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, the company’s press service reports.
The document was signed by Director-General at ChelPipe Group’s pipeline division Boris Kovalenkov, Russia’s First Deputy Minister for Natural Resources & the Environment Denis Khramov, Head of Russia’s Federal Supervisory Natural Resources Management Service Svetlana Rodionova, and acting Governor of Chelyabinsk Region Alexei Teksler.
According to the company’s press service, one of the top goals of the agreement is to install/reconstruct gas-filtering facilities at ChelPipe with the help of the Best Available Techniques for trapping and filtering of weighted particles, dust, and gas-air mixtures. The Group intends to invest more than RUB 180m into the project by 2024.
