Children's Sports Federal Project coordinator and President of the All-Russian School Sports Federation, three-time Olympic champion, ten-time world champion, a public figure and a government official Irina Rodnina paid a visit to EVRAZ Kachkanarsky Ore Mining & Processing Enterprise (KGOK), EVRAZ Holding Ural's Corporate Communications Center reports.

Irina Rodnina went to the new sports facility EVRAZ Arena Olimp and started a mini-football game. She then met with members of the local sports community and gave out autographs.

Rodnina spoke very appreciatively of the sports facilities in Kachkanar (the new sports center, the roller ski tracks, and the Sports Palace). She also went to EVRAZ KGOK's Zapadny Quarry to see mining equipment at work and to look at 130,000-kg and 240,000-kg-strong BelAZ trucks take iron ore to its designated location.

'Irina Rodnina supports the CIS Member States International School Sports Festival. Rodnina has given out awards to Kachkanar's mini-football team from Olimp Sports Club more than once, as the team wins medals in the festival every year. The children have invited the famous sports player for a visit a number of times, and this year, she was happy to accept the invitation,' the company says.
