UrBC, Magnitogorsk, October 4, 2019. MMK Group’s member enterprise MMK-METIZ’s trade union coordinated a conference this week, MMK’s Information & PR Department reports.
The conference was attended by the company’s acting Director Ivan Teftelev and head of Russia’s Mining & Metallurgical Trade Union’s Regional Committee’s Coordination Department Vladimir Revenku.
The plant has gone through quite a few social changes in the last two and a half years, MMK-METIZ Chair of Trade Union Elena Ramazanova told the conference participants. MMK-METIZ’s Collective Agreement serves as the primary guarantee of the employees’ social and economic rights. The agreement has been numerously acknowledged as one of the best contracts in the industry for its quality and completeness. The Collective Agreement is also special in that it covers the bonuses of partially covered healthcare and vacations for the employees and their families, mother-and-child programs, benefits for the plant’s long-service employees, and a range of extra social benefits and paid leaves, the plant says.
According to MMK representatives, the trade union and the plant’s management work together on a social partnership basis.
