They also had to demonstrate effective performance in both regular and emergency operating modes. EVRAZ contestants completed all the stages of the competition successfully and proved their outstanding professional qualifications,’ the company says.

EVRAZ Holding coordinates company competitions for the heat and power plant’s operating crew every year. The winners go on to compete in the all-Russian championship (held every other year with support from Russia’s Energy Ministry). This year, eight Russian companies in the energy sector took part in the contest. The competition took place in Moscow on September 9-13. The goal is to enhance the prestige of working in the energy sector, provide professional growth opportunities, distinguish the best workers in the field, and promote the best work practices.
