UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 17, 2019. Activists from Gorod Pervykh, an NGO founded with ChelPipe Group’s support, coordinated their first environmental cycling quest in Pervouralsk. Eleven teams took part in the event.
According to ChelPipe Group’s press service, the cyclists went on an eleven-kilometer route with ten stations next to Pervouralsk’s most prominent landmarks. Once at a station, the quest participants had to answer quiz questions on Pervouralsk’s history and geography and had to complete environmental challenges.
Fedor Danilov Park was one of the quest’s primary highlights. The park is named after ChelPipe Group’s Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant’s legendary director; other quest stations covered White-Coated Metallurgists’s Alley, Innovative Culture Center, and Stroitel Shopping Center.
Alexei Lukin and Sergey Krasnoperov came first in the competition: not only did they complete all the challenges, but they also finished first (in under 52 minutes all in all). The two winners were given fitness bracelets as prizes.
