UrBC, Yekaterinburg, October 1, 2019. Activists from Gorod Pervykh, an NGO supported by ChelPipe Group, coordinated their environmental Clean Games quest in Pervouralsk, the Group’s press service reports.
‘132 people joined the quest in Pervouralsk, including employees of local enterprises, students on the Group’s Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Corporate Training Program, and schoolchildren. They spent one and a half hours cleaning up one of the town parks. The quest participants picked up 4,000 kg of litter altogether; the garbage got collected and recycled by the regional solid household waste treatment operator,’ the press service says.
Winner teams with the largest amount of litter picked up over the shortest period got selected from among the quest participants. First-year students on The Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Corporate Training Program won the first prize in the junior category and workers from ChelPipe Group’s Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant’s Repair Department won in the senior category. The winners received Pervouralsk Fall Cleanliness Cups and valuable prizes.
The international environmental Clean Games quest has been coordinated since 2014 and has involved ten countries and over 50,000 people so far; 700 quests have taken place, with 1,000,000 kg of litter collected.
