UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 29, 2019. A solemn awarding ceremony was held for the Russian Bandy Super League teams in Pervouralsk this week; the winners — bandy players, their coaching staff, and Uralsky Trubnik’s personnel — received their Russian Championship bronze medals and other awards there. Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Evgeny Kuivashev, ChelPipe Group’s Chair of the BOD and President of Uralsky Trubnik Bandy Club Alexander Fedorov, and Director of Russia’s Bandy Federation Yuri Molotkov all attended the ceremony.

According to ChelPipe Group’s press service, Uralsky Trubnik set its personal record this year, getting a prize in the national championship for the first time ever. This coming season, the sports players will have to compete in Russia’s Cup, the Russian Bandy Super League Championship, and the most prestigious international competition, the World Cup.

‘Pervouralsk is known for its strong bandy players. Our sports players perform in Russia’s leading teams as well as in their ‘native’ bandy club. Players from Pervouralsk and other Sverdlovsk Region towns currently make up the majority of Uralsky Trubnik, representing their town and their constituency,’ Alexander Fedorov said in the course of the ceremony.
