UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 27, 2019. EVRAZ Holding keeps supporting Uralets, a martial arts school in Nizhniy Tagil, this year as always. The company supplies the funds for the sports players to take part in out-of-town championships and get new equipment and uniforms when necessary.
According to EVRAZ Holding Ural’s Corporate Communications Center, the young sports players get coached by EVRAZ Nizhny Tagil Metallurgical Plant (EVRAZ NTMK) Converter Shop’s Senior Repairs Engineer Vladimir A. Morozov, who used to be a successful fighter and Russia and the CIS champion himself.
‘Vladimir Morozov’s tutee competed in the Russian kickboxing championship in late April: the Nizhniy Tagil native Sergey Vostrikov won gold in Light Contact in the 16-18 age group and is now Master of Sports. He made part of Russia’s national kickboxing team and will therefore compete in the European championship in Hungary in August 2019. Uralets sports players also took part in the all-Russian kickboxing championship Russia’s Best Club, winning 22 medals and becoming No.3 out of 23 contestant clubs,’ the Center says.
Vladimir Morozov has been coaching young sports players since 2006. There are over forty students aged 10-15 on his team, including EVRAZ NTMK employees’ children. The practice sessions take place at 6 PM on weekdays at 26 Karl Marx St in Nizhniy Tagil.
