UrBC, Yekaterinburg, March 29, 2019. ChelPipe Group’s shareholder and President of Uralsky Trubnik Hockey Club Alexander Fedorov congratulated the team on their victory in the Russian Hockey Championship. The players came back from Irkutsk today, having beaten Baikal-Energiya 7:2 and winning bronze (the club’s best result so far), the Group’s press service reports.

Our programs involved around 6,000 young hockey players, and we take pride in the fact that more than a half of Uralsky Trubnik’s players come from ChelPipe-supported amateur clubs and children’s sports schools. The Group has been sponsoring Uralsky Trubnik and implementing a children’s and young adults’ sports program in Pervouralsk since 2007. A dozen amateur clubs with 300 young players have been set up so far; every year, the company directs more than RUB 2.2 million to support children’s Russian hockey games, buys new equipment, and renovates sports playgrounds. The most promising sports players move on to Uralsky Trubnik Children’s Sports School to build up on the hockey club’s talent pool. Dmitri Chernykh, who used to practice at the amateur club Yuny Stroitel as a child, proved one of the best hockey players at the championship.
