UrBC, Chelyabinsk, June 5, 2019. The 26th International Trade Fair for Coal Mining Technology, Preparation and Materials Handling (UGOL ROSSII & MINING) began in Novokuznetsk this week; Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) is taking part in the event, the company’s Information & PR Department reports.

UGOL ROSSII & MINING is the country’s largest exhibition project for every sector of the ore mining industry and a unique platform for presenting new technologies. MMK is featuring its heavy-duty, wear-resistant MAGSTRONG steels at the event. The steels are used for making and repairing construction vehicles, mining equipment, and other special-purpose appliances and load-bearing steel structures and for making mine-rock processing and stoping equipment as well as other hi tech appliances.

‘MAGSTRONG steels have already fully substituted their foreign counterparts for quite a few Russian mining holdings and companies dealing in coal, copper, gold, potassium salts, and phosphate extraction. Appliances made from the steels weigh much less than their counterparts and cost considerably less to produce. Companies in the machine-building sector have been using our steels quite a bit when making mining and road-building equipment,’ the company says.
