UrBC, Magnitogorsk, May 30, 2019. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) and AvtoVAZ’s coordination council’s meeting took place in Magnitogorsk this week. The two parties looked into their performance in 2018 and 2019 and adopted an action plan for the next year.

According to the plant’s Information & PR Department, MMK currently remains the key rolled metal goods supplier for the Togliatti-based car manufacturer; AvtoVAZ is also MMK’s key customer in the automobile body sheets segment.

‘More than 50% of our produce for the car making industry gets supplied to AvtoVAZ, so this partnership is a very important one of the company. Coordination council meetings make it possible to look into ways of making automobile more competitive and of raising the car market sales together,’ says MMK’s Deputy Director-General for Sales Sergey Ushakov.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of Togliatti-based APO RUS and LADA-IZHEVSK. This was, in fact, the 22nd time the coordination council met to discuss the two companies’ partnership.
