UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 16, 2019. Workers from ChelPipe Group’s Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant (ChelPipe), Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant (PNTZ), SOT, ETERNO, Alnas, and Izhneftemash all took part in the clean-up days in their respective towns.

‘More than 3,500 ‘white-coated metallurgists’ helped clean up 150 hectares of parks and streets in the towns where the Group operates. Students on ChelPipe Group’s Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Corporate Training Program, activists from the NGO Gorod Pervykh, and employees of the Group’s social infrastructure facilities also took part in the clean-ups,’ the Group’s press service says.

ChelPipe Group’s workers cut the trees, picked up all the trash and last year’s old leaves, cleaned and painted fences, benches, and pavements stones, and cleaned up parks and streets. The Group allocated more than RUB 1.5 million to provide the workers with gloves, rakes, brooms, shovels, and paint. Additionally, forty special-purpose vehicles (loading trucks, tractors, and KamAZ trucks to take the garbage away) got used in the process.

‘ChelPipe employees cleaned up Novorossiyskaya St, Mashinostroiteley St, Maslennikov St, and Lisa Chaikina St in Chelyabinsk. PNTZ workers cleaned up most of the streets and parks in Pervouralsk and in the nearby settlement of Novotalitsa.

Alnas workers focused on the urban improvements on their plant’s site and in the streets of District TOS 17 in Almetyevsk; Izhneftemash employees cleaned up the plant’s premises, pavements, and lawns,’ the press service says.

Taking part in the annual spring clean days is something the Group’s workers have been doing for many years now. In addition to the one-time big spring clean, the workers also do regular maintenance jobs in the areas throughout the year.
