MMK Industrial Park Launches Metallurgic Deoxidizers Plant

UrBC, Chelyabinsk, May 7, 2019. After Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works’ (MMK) Industrial Park, Chelyabinsk Region Investment Development Agency, and Metallurgic Deoxidizers Plant signed a cooperation agreement six months previously, a new deoxidizers plant got built and launched in the park, MMK’s Information & PR Department reports.
The plant is now operating in MMK Industrial Park in Magnitogorsk. Metallurgic Deoxidizers Plant invested RUB 70 million in the project, creating thirty new jobs.
‘The produce is absolutely unique, as it gets made with the plant’s own know-hows and technologies; its purpose is to ensure primary deoxidization of metal coming from our steel-making units as well as at metal finishing plants and ladle furnace units. The plant’s projected capacity comes to as much as 10,000,000 kg of deoxidizers a year. The produce is intended for both the home market and customers in Europe, Asia, and the CIS,’ the company's press service says.
According to Chelyabinsk Region Investment Development Agency, the project is seen as industrial cooperation between innovative enterprises and the local economy’s leading businesses. This kind of cooperation helps make production processes more efficient, ensures greater economic diversity in the Southern Urals, and creates new jobs.
